Burn out is a state of emotional exhaustion brought on by continual work related stress. Just as professionals can burn-out on a job, parents, especially mothers, are of a same, if not greater risk.
Personal and/or group support can help mothers evaluate their situation and recognise the signs of burnout. They are then able to redefine their priorities according to their own personal values, in order to take better care of themselves and let go of unrealistic expectations and beliefs.
