Assessments provide valuable information regarding an individual’s intelectual abilities, possible learning difficulties, personality and emotional state.

Some of the situations in which they are used are :

  • To determine cognitive abilties
  • To identify learning difficulties
  • To examine behavioural problems or emotional difficulties
  • To help adolescents and adults make decisions regarding their future academic or professional projects

Tests are carefully chosen according to each situation and may take several sessions to complete. In some cases it is also necessary to observe a child in class or obtain further information from teachers or specialists.

A full report and explanation of results is provided when the assessment is completed as well as conclusions and suggestions for future support or projects.

Academic coaching

Academic coaching provides adolescents and adults with active support to cope more efficiently with the demands of their studies and/or training. It helps them recognise and manage their own resources in order to increase motivation and success.

  • Managing time and ressources
  • Coping with anxiety and stress caused by academic demands
  • Completing mid and long-term projects such as coursework, dissertations and research

Support for parents

Raising children is a beautiful but also challneging experience for many parents. Each child is unique in their development and personality, whilst each parent has their own unique childhood experiences and approach to parenting. Raising children with developmental, behavioural or learning difficulties puts further strain on parents. Some couples also struggle with marital or financial difficulties, health problems or living too far from extended family support.

Just as professionals can burnout in the workplace, parents are at the same risk within the home. Via individual or group sessions, parents can learn to examine their situation and recognise the signs of burnout. This enables them in turn to redefine their approach to parenting according to their personal values and beliefs and identify realistic expectations for themselves and their children.

Advice and support is also available for parents faced with difficulties communicating, parenting and problem-solving in their daily family life.
